Coco Reid's Second Pop-up

You didn't think I forgot about Coco Reid's did you? Of course not! While my regular job has kept me incredibly busy, I am still trying to sell these books with the ultimate goal of one day owning my own bookstore. I promise! I just need to get better about posting and reading so I have books to sell/recommend. Actually, let's pause for a second as I need to give a shout out to my aunt who consistently sends me content ideas and posting ideas. I love having an aunt that is supportive and about that life!

This past weekend, I participated in my second pop-up! I have my set-up down although I need to get a different display. Had a great mix of hard covers and paperbacks to really maximize revenue. The pop-up started at 3:00pm yet I was ready to go by 2:00pm. Y'all I didn't sell my first book until 6:04pm. Thank you to the lady's boyfriend who told her to go buy a book so she wouldn't pay attention to the Dodgers game and jinx it. Yes that happened and yes I am appreciative because she bought a hardcover baby! Woo. Altogether I sold 4 books. Yes four and I am calling it a win!

First, I had great support! Marci and and Itzel are always so amazing so seeing their friendly faces never fails to brighten my day. I had a surprise visitor that brought her pup as well as Lo, Melissa, Castro and puppy Charles. I am always thankful for whatever support I receive as people choosing to use their time to see you and support what you're doing should always be celebrated and appreciated.

Second, one of the vendors, Sip and Paint Queen wants to do a collaboration. More information to come but I just love the idea of sipping, painting and being able to buy books! But she isn't the only one! I have received two additional pop-up invites. One I have to turn down simply as I am not available for that date but the other one is flexible and with one of my favorite vendors at a brewery. More to come but so

exciting!

I feel as if this pop-up wasn't about selling books but more so exposure as well as solidifying if I want to stick with this on good sell days and slow sell days. I truly do. One of the best aspects about Saturday was being able to discuss books and authors with people and make recommendations based on interests.

Coco Reid's continues and looking forward to what's to come!
